Nightly Prayers...they do matter!!!

Each night when I tuck the kids into bed, they say their prayer and I say mine. Tonight my heart melted when Bree said her prayer. She started asking to say hers about a week ago. I haven't started making her say them yet. I would just pray over her. The fact that she started wanting to say "her prayers" in itself was so sweet, but now that she is in the routine of saying them, it's so heartwarming and cute to hear what she has to say. Alot of it is muffled gibberish I can't undersand but in tonight's prayer, I definitely heard the words "party, mommy, daddy, "lan-lon", sissy, and debbie."

This is the second night in a row she has mentioned party in her prayer. I guess she's thanking God that she had her 3rd birthday party this past weekend???

And how sweet was it that she prayed for her family?...each by name!!!

Finally, I'll have to be sure to tell her babysitter tomorrow that she got prayed for by Bree tonight!!!!

I love this age. For all the "bad" things kids pick up at this impressionable stage of life, they can sure pick up some good things too!

I've been tagged, so here goes...

1. I don't really know how to blog, what the purpose of a blog truly is and if anyone even cares about what I blog.

2. I have a sixth sense. No, I'm not a freak. I don't really put much weight in psychic powers or anything like that, but I have had premonitions before. It's really, really freaky. The first time I can recall was when I was 7. I was going home with my dad for the weekend and I had this horrible, sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I even told my mom I didn't want to go, but she talked me into going anyhow. Once dad and I head out, not 10 miles down the road, we were in a horrible car accident. Spooky, right? Trying being me...at 7 years old!!! I had another one a few years later when the phone rang one night at my dad's house. I knew it was bad news as soon as it rang and guess what? It was. My sister and her family had been in a car accident. The most recent premonition I had was a few years ago when Chris and I were supposed to go on a cruise together. I had that same horrible, sinking feeling in my stomach every time I thought about going. I prayed to God that if we weren't meant to go, to let something happen where we couldn't. Two days before we were supposed to leave, Chris got injured at work and had to go in immediate physical therapy and had to cancel our trip per doctor's orders. My mom later told me that she never had a good feeling about our trip either. Now, anytime I start feeling that way, I immediately start praying protection over all those that I know and love. Seriously, I can't wait til I get to Heaven and ask God about premonitons!!!

3. Now that you are totally freaked out by #2 i'm sure you're wanting to know what else is there to this weirdo ?(sorry, I had to steal that from Chrystal since it fit perfectly) :-) Uhm, this is probably hard to imagine, but I was a child gymnast. Yes, I was a student of Charles Harding for 3-4 years until I got handed a choice between cable or gymnastics since my mom was single and strapped financially. I'm sure it's not hard to guess what I chose. LOL. Hey, I remember when Disney channel was full of cartoons and cartoons only...mickey, minnie, goofy, pluto, donald and daffy duck. Them were the good ole days.

4. I'm so excited that I finally have something to be excited about in the upcoming election...thanks to Sara Palin. She's a bulldog and I'm excited.

5. Although I'm not a very talented or interesting writer, my dream career would be that of a fictional author. I think I would love that job! You get to go places and experience things for the sole purpose of writing a book. How neat would that be?

6. I never finished college, but would love to go back one day and get a degree.

Now it is my turn to do some tagging.
