Nightly Prayers...they do matter!!!

Each night when I tuck the kids into bed, they say their prayer and I say mine. Tonight my heart melted when Bree said her prayer. She started asking to say hers about a week ago. I haven't started making her say them yet. I would just pray over her. The fact that she started wanting to say "her prayers" in itself was so sweet, but now that she is in the routine of saying them, it's so heartwarming and cute to hear what she has to say. Alot of it is muffled gibberish I can't undersand but in tonight's prayer, I definitely heard the words "party, mommy, daddy, "lan-lon", sissy, and debbie."

This is the second night in a row she has mentioned party in her prayer. I guess she's thanking God that she had her 3rd birthday party this past weekend???

And how sweet was it that she prayed for her family?...each by name!!!

Finally, I'll have to be sure to tell her babysitter tomorrow that she got prayed for by Bree tonight!!!!

I love this age. For all the "bad" things kids pick up at this impressionable stage of life, they can sure pick up some good things too!
